Author: There are a lot of problems in the world, but there is one solution; a lot of darkness, but one true light and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to give light to them that sat in darkness and we as his representatives are the lights of the world. We need to shine as lights!
Today’s problems are not social or political or economic, they are spiritual. If we as Christians stand together and hold forth the Word of Life we will see things change for the better; if we do not things can only get worse.
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life…
Philippians 2:15-16
As beacons of light we stand for three basic things.
1. We believe that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and we have made him Lord in our lives. (Romans 10:9-19)
2. We are spreading the good news of the Gospel (John 3:17)
3. We as light in the Lord must walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8)
Let’s stand together and make a statement; we are beacons of light in a dark perverse world so lets get out there and shine!
